Who'll Get The Nod!!?? Morning Dream Team

Liberty's been saying they're looking for talent. Now VARTV has their ad. I've tossed my bro & I into the ring...a while back. Who will be Liberty's morning team be???
Even money on Jeff Beck (he's already there) and Betty Bodine (Rita's available)... Instead of Jeff & Jeff, it'll be Beck & Bodine... The station already has a heavy edge to her sound (perfect for Beck, former XL Jock [wouldn't doubt it, he may have had a hand in programming her]... and add in the talented Top40/Q Zoo Betty Bodine... What do you think? Any ideas on a possible Dream Morning Team for Liberty (watch me be right! NO,I'm not Rush Limbaugh...!) You want a strong Richmond connection to challange the other big guns... Hey we could bring back Large Larry English...[remember him] but he's no longer among us. God rest his soul... He was a nice guy too! Cheers,
______________

Morning show on Liberty.....well I dont know about any of you, but I really miss hearing Jeff Wicker in Richmond. I thought that he and Betty Bodine were great together. I thought Liberty would have picked up Dick Hungate since he got the axe at the planet. Just my two cents. Also Liberty isnt bad, I just wish it had a little bit more organization with the programming.

Wicker and Bodine were a good combination back in the days post Q Zoo, sorry Q94 fans of today, but today's Q zoo is horrible. Listed are my ideas for the morning show for liberty.

Jeff and Jeff: If McKee and Beck are up for it. I still think to this day that April Fools Day was just a teaser of things to come. Have a funny feeling that Mainline might try to lure McKee away from the classroom and back on the air with his good friend, Jeff Beck.

Wicker and Bodine: They are a great combo and also have good working chemistry. It along with J&J would boost up the ratings in the morning. Great idea about getting these guys back together. Especially if J&J or the last one posted below can't be lured into town to take charge of mornings.

Corey Dietz, Jay Hamilton and Betty Bodine: The Liberty Morning Zoo. Nothing beats bringing back these people back for counter programing to the FLUKES on Q94 now. Anyone remember the George Bush beer ad from right after the 88 election, Brewed for 8 years in the cellar of the white house LOL. Sharp, funny and like Don and Mike out of DC, they can touch that nerve that you have missed all those years!

we will soon see.....

If we are really going to try and recreate the past how about this:

Tim Timberlake and Millard
Harvey Hudson
The LOve Brothers
Steve Leonard and Garrett Chester
Terry Young and Rita Bentley
Jess Duboy and Dick Strauss
Dick Grant and Drew Phinney
Philly Phil and Micki Spencer
Bob Canada
Doug McKay

I'd forgotten all about the J&J April Fool's day prank... Maybe this was in the works months ago...! J&J were a great team... Very funny stuff! I think Corey and Jay are still in Little Rock.
______________

Two great radio personalites that are unfortunately no longer with us :(

Whoever Liberty gets needs to be PERSONALITIES and not liner card readers. Personalities who are on the air around the clock, not just during the morning show. One of the biggest things I think is missing in radio today is on-air people that are actually having fun on the air...or at least sounding like they are without sounding like they're forcing it ot being fake. Image what it would be like to have a radio station in Richmond that is truly fun to listen to? Lots of fun contests. On-air people who do real shows with call-ins, song requests, and not people filling an on-air shift, or jockeless liners in and out of spot breaks. Also, Liberty air staff members would host and/or make appearances at every event in the area.

Also, get prime part-timers for the weekends such as Bob Somers and "Shotgun John" Staton from Q. The right staff is out there...go get 'em Liberty and treat them well!!

Steve Hendrix, Kevin Collins, Dick Ruse, Kirby Carmichael, Guy Spiller, Terry Jordan, Bill Garcia, Bill James, Terry Young, The Doctor...Wimmer or is it Whimmer? "SHANE"...
Bill Bevins, Steve "Mr.Beach" Leonard, Garet Chester, Bob-a-Lou, Shotgun John, Slam Duncan, Steve "Mr.Country Music" Giles, David Lee Michaels, Dick Hungate, Steve Forest, Jeff Wicker...Eric E. Stanley, Jim Minor, Jeff McKee...BTO BIG TOM Ogburn!, Paul Segrue, Shadow Murdock, Kenny Durbin, Jason Edwards, Louis Power. Go further back in time Dick Hemby [This man is great... alot of laughs!!!], or Harvey Hudson. I'm trying to remember some others...Alden Aaroe, Lou Dean, Frank Soden, Jim Jacobs, Ben Miles, Chocolate Chip, Steve Ford, Tiger Tom Mitchell.
More recent times... Scott Stevens, Adam Stubbs, Matt Nichols, Hank Matthews, mikki Spencer, Bill Drake, Joey Butler, Sherri Blanks [Don't shoot me Sherri if I spelled your name wrong lol]

Dude, the list is long from the past, but short for today...!
The Jeff Beck, Betty Bodine team, I still think would make a great combo for the mornings. Brining back Jeff & Jeff would be an interesting move. That would be a take away and aimed right at The Planet. Who just lost Mr. Dick[Classic Rock]Hungate. To me, the Beck, Bodine team would take two, Q and Planet[Kick'em when they're up, Kick'em when they're down...among others]. Those who love Betty and grew up with her on Q ...and those remembering and grewup with Beck listening to XL...
You're accessment above is dead on it!
______________

Wow...John still part-times at Q?

He's the only part-timer I can remember from about three or so years ago when I completely stopped listening to Q
