Glad that it wasn't just me!!!!! ;D
I complained about this on the Orlando and CT boards, because they were knocking the heck out of WTIC in Eastern PA. I thought that WHOO's night power was supposed to be 190 watts. Even with 2000, they shouldn't be interfering with WTIC. Their TOH came in loud and clear, so they're busted.
Over much of the summer, I have listened to the Red Sox on WTIC and it normally comes in like a local. And, I have never picked up WHOO from this location before. Suddenly, on Friday night, a HS football game in central FL interfered with WTIC. Then, it happened again (and even more obnoxiously) last night. These guys are clearly not powering down when they're supposed to. Given that it corresponds with football games, this does not seem to be an accidental oversight.
I'd recommend that we complain to the FCC. Unless we want to have our Red Sox games interrupted by the Florida State fight song every weekend!
