Greenspun? Wynn? Art Bell? any ideas?...

and by the way.. Pete Moss must be a spine-less de-balled step and fetch it....does he carry Clair's purse for her? What a jellyfish..to wimpy to even say JD Wells quit the station or was fired? whatever... the caller who asked what happened had more guts...I like it when he complains about the crank callers taking up time from his clown college of callers

KLAV is brokered for the most part...but they have good shows unlike kdud...also AJ got the money from Mommy and Daddy to buy his stations...so cut the crap about his business sense

also go back a few months on this board and you will see that many people (including yours truly) predicted that JDW would not last more than a couple of months before he had a self distructive ego attack and took his marbles and went home

..ha ha ...JD lost his job..jd lost his job na na na na na (sorry I just had to rub it in) put a fork in it the wells report is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Kids

Pete Moss is just following the rules of the station by not discussing personal
business matters over the air.

Besides the kids run KDWN now.

Re: The Kids? in their 70's?

williams was in his 90's when he died so his kids are in their 70's??? that's why the have the same crap on the air

Wrong again, Dirt.

KDWN was owned by a corporation. Claire Reis was the majority stock-holder. When the station was sold, the money was disbursed among the stockholders based on stock ownership.

The "kids" had nothing to do with running the station at all. Again, the reason the station sounded the way it did is due to Claire....beginning, middle, and end.

Re: KDWN posts

A lot of these discussions are unfortunate since they involve personal family matters. Irregardless of whether you agree or disagree with the station's political viewpoints, the station is legendary and has offered the Vegas area a wide variety of talent for decades, including people with other viewpoints than most of the hosts such as Doug Basham, Hart Kirch, and, of course, Art Bell. Indeed, how would you feel if you had a heritage station that you enjoyed or worked at in your market, it's owner died, and then the station's new owners were criticized on message boards, and the station was called names?

BTW I am NOT responding to any poster or string of posts on KDWN in particular.
Edited by this Tom: on 08/31/05 06:47 AM.

Re: The Kids? in their 70's?

Don't cry for KDWN, Tom....That station is the way it is because Claire DEMANDED that it operate that way. The new owners have not even been announced, so no one is "calling them names".
