Who's Leaving WBNS-FM's Morning Show?

Wow, that's MY nomination for "Post of the Year" -- thanks, Doc! Buzz Fitzgerald would vote to put "YTS" on the air at 97.1, as he and I have been buddies since his nights spinning some pretty good stuff at Club 202. I tried to get Mr. Ballantine interested in Revolutionary Radio, nothing happened ... and then like so many others in our local radio scene, the next thing you knew he was gone.

Until they find a new morning show, I think they should go with Yesterdays Top Secrets.

I.e., any of their former morning shows.

Prior to Paul and Lisa, Barry Beck was the morning guy. They later added Mo Paraventi (sp) and that's when it headed downhill.

Before that, let's not forget J C (Cartoons) McCoy. I can't remember if there was someone between JC and Barry.

Funny thing about that is Barry has been doing a syndicated show out of Rochester, New York. The revolving door was the best thing that could have happened to him. He was a great talent. Too bad they didn't realize it.

And yes, you spelled Paraventi correctly. She's in Michigan making another morning guy's life HELL. ;D

Funny thing about that is Barry has been doing a syndicated show out of Rochester, New York. The revolving door was the best thing that could have happened to him. He was a great talent. Too bad they didn't realize it.

Don't know if Kathy Hart was pushed out the door at Oldies B97 (I highly doubt it), but she's been incredibly successfully for years now in Chicago, at  Hot AC WTMX's Eric & Kathy morning show.  Interesting how her bio on the WTMX website omits the stint in Columbus, even though it mentions Raleigh and Rockford.

Come to think of it, wasn't she on NCI's Morning Zoo for awhile, too?

I should have mentioned in my previous post that I was only mentioning Morning air talent at 'BNS-FM as Hot AC The New 97.1/97.1 More Music, More Variety/Mix 97.1 80s 90s now. If memory serves me right after the flip they went commercial free and jock free for a while. I think Paul was on alone for awhile before Lisa joined him.
On the WNCI Morning Zoo front they did have another woman between Shawn Ireland's stints there, and her name was Kim Zaney or Zande or something like that. I'm sure someone remembers better than I do... ;D

Yes, I believe Val was on the show prior to Lisa.

When Lisa came aboard, They moved Valerie to afternoons.

Soon after she was gone.

Yes, Valorie Knight was part of the first 'BNS Hot AC Morning Team with Paul(Paul and Val). Not sure if it's the same Valorie Knight, but I remember reading something about a Valorie Knight PD-ing a Triple A station somewhere in Illinois awhile back.
Thanks for remembering Valorie Knight...I completely forgot about her short stint with 'BNS. Not sure why 'BNS let her go. If memory serves me correctly she was co-hosting with Paul and Lisa Kick was doing the news from the 10TVstudios(I think Lisa was on TV at this time perhaps doing mornings). Soon after she was co-hosting mornings with Paul on the radio. Why she was moved from TV to radio still baffles me. ???

Now that Alan is gone and I have listened to Kate and Matt, I think they need someone in there.

The show now is just boring and ugghhh..........laugh at nothing.

Any word on a new show or someone else to come in and take charge??
