Who's live at night and on the weekend?

In Central PA, is anyone live at night or overnight anymore? WGTY is live 7 -MID. How about the weekend? It sounds to me the WINKs, 103 and 104, are jukeboxed. It also appears WSOX got rid of their weekenders. I think that the River and The Peak are both live at least on Saturdays. WLAN sounds live at sometimes on Saturday and other times they are clearly not. It doesn't seem to follow a pattern either, such as being live only when there is remote.

WROZ is live all day Saturday and Sunday

I think WIOV is live all day Saturday including their country gold show on Saturday night

Things could have changed in York when the new General Mgr from Harrisburg took over

is dave shaffer gone. sad one of the better solid and all around nice guy. if that is true sad :(

WROZ is live 7-Mid during the week, then it switches to automation until the morning team starts. Weekends are live all day and back to automation overnight. I should know, since the overnight shift was my shift for about 2 years on weekends and filling in for Justin during the week. When Justin went to do mornings, I took his shift during the week AND did my weekend slot for the final 3 months. They started automating the shift in January 2009.

92.7 KZF is live with Paul Scott in the morning and goes automated at 7PM until Paul comes back in the next morning. Not sure if Paul does a live show or voicetracks Saturday mornings. Otherwise, Weekends are fully automated unless there's a live remote somewhere.

While a station being automated does not mean there is no one in another studio, let's all just advertise when some station facilities might be unmanned. Hope they have good alarm systems in place.

WGTY is live from 6a until Midnight Saturday unless NASCAR is running Saturday night. Sunday is a mixture (nascar in the p.m) then a bluegrass show Sunday night. They go back to automation at midnight till 6a Monday morning.

I don't know, that Carol Seidel (sp?) in mdidays might be tracked. One giveaway is that her parts aren't spoken directly over the starts/ends of songs. And it wouldn't be the only station that Hall VT's in middays.

And not to get off on a tangent, but can someone please remind Carol what a "double shot" is? Playing Guess Who's "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature" followed by Pink Floyd's "Empty Spaces/Young Lust" does not qualify as "back-to-back double shots," as she backsold them yesterday. You might get away with referring to the Pink Floyd duo as such because they appear on separate tracks on the "Wall" album, but the Guess Who "double shot" is actually a single song, as if they were fused together. (But hey, she has more radio experience than me, so what do I know... ::) )

I liked Dave Shaffer and Gary Maxwell and their old-school, Top40 announcing style. Of course, back in the day, they worked for stations like 1350 WzIX and FM/97. Anyone know if those guys found new radio gigs?

the x has tpa ppl in the am then its on its own till 10pm on sat and 8pm on sun yes maria is gone i think? allso the psa at 6am on sun is gone 2

I think Number One Son voice tracks his shows on The X. I have had it on the last couple of nights and he rarely says much and isnt very entertaining anymore. I haven't had it on in months so maybe this has been going for awhile and I never noticed.

But probably more entertaining than anything you ever said on the radio.

That is actually true statement. I don't work in radio so I have never said anything on the radio so one can only wonder if what I would say on the radio would be considered entertaining or not.

Seltzer seems to be in a bad mood lately. I received the wrath a few weeks ago myself. I never worked in broadcast radio but I do hold an FCC license. I've probably said entertaining things on the HF and VHF bands at times though.
