Who's off the air?

WWL-AM went off the air last night; I was listening when it happened. I don't know if it's the tower, or if the power just went out. The Slidell weather radar site is out, too.

WWL is back up, and what they're describing is just unbelievably bad.

I Heard This On WFLA Tuesday

Was listening to the "Schnitz Show", an afternoon talker based at Tampa's WFLA-AM but also airing on a station in Miami (he's also MJ of sister WFLZ-FM's AM drive show). He had a fellow who works in Clear Channel Tampa's sales staff who is from Hancock County and still has family there on the air during the 4PM (ET) hour. He said he spoke with the GM of CC's Mississippi coast operation and was told all four of their stations there were out and the tramsmitter was down.<P ID="signature">______________
