who's programming kmle????

has anybody ever seen a full power signal finish dead last 25-54? kmle is the least listened to radio station for adults 25-54.

25th place

25th FREAKIN PLACE

this is the last choice for adults in phx! that is amazing.

this has to be a first!

i've sat in some programming ruff programming meetings in my day...but never this dire. can you imagine the sales meeting for this one????

This is the total stupidity of larger markets and companies these days, and it's growing. Pass up well-qualified, winning programmers who can focus on solely programming matters. Who is programming KMLE? KMLE's programmer is also the Operations Manager and also CBS Radio VP/Country Artist Relations.

You see there's time for KMLE, right? ;)

I'm not a listener of KMLE but they seem to have some big jock names in their lineup. What's the problem with giving the PD responsibility to someone familiar with the music and their listener demo? Surely Tim, Willy or another on-air person could conjure up a decent Country playlist.

I believe their PD knows country music well. My point is that there are only so many things you can do in a day. Most programmers don't hold two local positions and one national one. CBS Radio is turning more and more into Clear Channel.

I understood you. I'm just sayin'.....what would be wrong with one of the jocks doing the PD (time permitting of course)?

From my experience, I would argue that most jocks excel in the presentation aspect of the business and are less business inclined. There's quite a bit that's involved with leading staff, motivating staff, establishing strategy, coaching staff, considering budgetary items, etc. Unfortunately, very few jocks have this skill set in addition to being great on the air. Certainly there are exceptions, with Kevin Gossett of KEZ coming to mind. From my interactions, he's a class act at both!
