Who's the better man? BOB or SAM?

As mentioned in the other post, WKNA flipped from The Bull to Sam FM and people have been buzzin' about it! With its original imaging, not expected jingles, and syndicated morning show... is it enough to steal listeners from Bob FM which is a 50,000 watt powerhouse blastin' through Southern Ohio and WV?

Check out both of these music logs, which do you prefer?

and of course...

Billy Ocean - Caribbean Queen (1984)

I prefer SAM, it's a little more upbeat and fun. The overall sound reminds me of a big city JACK FM. They also will throw on rhythmic selections like "Lovestoned" by Justin Timberlake and "Single Ladies" by Beyonce... it's a women-targeted variety hits station. What do you think?

SAM played Enrique & Luda's Tonight during the 5pm hour. Nice mix targeted towards women. Although C-bus is filled with classic rock/classic hits, a station like SAM would do decent... better than 1039 anyway.

We had Ted FM at one time, but as we all know the programmers in the Columbus market aren't exactly free thinkers. IMO, Gen X is the best new format to hit this market since 103.5 and 104.3 started all jazz back in the 90s. Everything else is something you can hear in any other market (and Gen X might be, too, don't know).

They should call themselves Bubba - utterly clueless, the both of them. The Who into Kelly Clarkson? The Eagles into Modern English? CCR, Michael Jackson, Thompson Twins???

Morons.

They play everything! :) I, personally like the mix. It's cool to be able to hear Thompson Twins and Shakira on the same station. It's all in the mix, and it works.
