Who's the PD at 94.1 these days?

Michael Hayes
Born in Orange County's Laguna Beach, Michael had a passion for radio from an early age. Landing his first radio job right out of high school, Michael has since been nominated twice as Major Market Air Personality of the Year with successful shows in Denver, Philadelphia, Houston, Boston and others.

Michael makes his home in North County and is thrilled to be on Star 94.1 and back in his home state where he belongs! In his spare time he enjoys running, the beach, motorcycles, scuba diving, spending time with his pug dogs, and volunteering for various causes.

Welp, guess Michael has plenty of that now.

Michael was "let go" of the afternoon show last week. It's a "stay tuned" thing.

Are you kidding?
If a PD like Mike Hayes can get fired, nobody is safe! I thought that this was a PD that from all accounts was the "man to hire" for taking Star to the next level?

Or is there something more to this?

Uuuum....there's no mystery or 'stay tuned' thing. It's the usual CC mode of operation. Michael's job (PD) was eliminated in order to squeeze more dollars out of the cluster. The PD from 93-3 (Jimmy) will now "oversee" the station. As for afternoons, expect a low cost solution.

And people wonder why SD radio has become soooo mediocre (sigh).

I was in the CCU building yesterday and was on broadcast row. Yep, Mike was well liked in and out of 94.1.
Expect more ch-changes.
