Whos the worst in Memphis Radio?

Were the Buzz's ratings really competitive in the later days of the format? I seem to remember they were on a steady decline before the ill fated change to Snap.

As I recall, it changed FROM Buzz well before the Entercom purchase of FM100.
It had to change from Buzz because of ratings.
Then, "Snap" proved to be even worse.
Don't know for sure that ratings for either has surpassed ratings when it was Froggy.

The Buzz ratings only started to decline when the live jocks were removed. Mistake. The station lost all the live and local flavor.

The Buzz had a deathgrip on FM 100. It was a'comin.

When you decide to syndicate and voicetrack, ratings inevitably go down. You remove all interaction with the public. No more call-in requests, no on-air contests, no "A tornado is ripping through your area..." No one's gonna listen anymore when they catch on. And they will catch on.

I definitely am a fan of Karen Perin. For whomever said SL 100 out of Dyersburg was a bad station I disagree, I love that station. They play a ton of great rock and do a terrific job. I am fortunate I live where I can pick up Memphis radio and SL 100 and 92.3 out of Jackson as well.

I am not going to call any station worst, I think it is just what radio is these days. I actually want music on my radio station with local deejays and you don't get much of that anymore. Stations I want to like but just can't are FM 100 (used to dig that station), 98.1 overall (are they a classic rock station, modern rock, what and as much as I like Drake and Zeke, we don't need them at night as well), Sports 56 (I like all sports not just the SEC), and the River, it's a snoozefest of a station.

I have made it clear on this website that I'm a huge fan of rock radio. As 98.1 is concerned, I find the play list very repetitive, too safe, and boring. They seem to completely ride on Drake and Zeke and the music is just a filler. It’s apparent with the decision to have reruns at night. I admit D&Z entertain me. I can't help but to like them. However, I agree repeating at night is overkill.

Probably a tie between Kim FM and FM 100. I have trouble at times telling those two apart.
