I have many favorites over the years, including poster Bob Rall. Loved the old Bob and Al show and still like his traffic updates when I can catch them. I like his quick wit and dry sense of humor. Bob, if you read this, I think the time is right for you to get an on air partner and go back on in the afternoons with a show. There is a huge forgotten audience out there, we baby boomers who grew up on top 40 and also the Bob and Al shows of the world... and guess what, we still listen to the radio.
Currently my favorite is the young lady (Mandy Scott I think?) on the Nooner show at Rock 93. She has a good voice and a good delivery, a good wit and she can be edgy without being vulgar. And for some reason during the 'Nooner' they open up their play list some. Of course after that, they go back to playing the same 5 or 6 songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over............and so on, just like most other stations today. Guys, throw the book away...use your ears.....there are millions of songs to be played. even the oldie stations play the same damn songs over and over it seems. I hear songs that I grew sick of 25 to 30 years ago and I am still sick of them. There is so much music out there I can't understand such limited, boring playlists.
Anyway, I love this web site and check it everyday. please keep posting the great old stories you guys have experienced in radio.
