Whose antennae is that in north Dekalb County near Spalding Drive/Holcomb Bridge

Surely someone knows. After being around this forum the little bit that I have and after reading old topics about antennae around town, I recently took notice of the array of antennae near Spalding Drive and Holcombe Bridge Roads. Whose it that?

You are correct...WCNN's towers are near the intersection of Winters Chapel and Spalding.

I think that's actually Gwinnett County.

Correct, although you are near the intersection of Fulton, DeKalb, and Gwinnett counties.

Keeping with the thread, what Antennae is located at Sixes Road and hwy 5 in Cherokee County? It is a big stick. Is it the FM of 105.7?

Yes I am quite positive it is 105.7. I do not live far from there and when it was the GST simulcast it would over power the upper end of the radio dial in the radio at my house.

The 105.7 antenna is on Sweat Mountain. When it was WGST-FM, it was immediately off one of the exits of 575.

105.7 used to be there, but now it is just another cell phone tower (although other services may be there).

Sweat Mountain is off of Highway 92 east of Woodstock. WATC-TV 57 is also there, as well as several LPTV and FM translators (chiefly one at 100.9 for WCCV 91.7 Cartersville). Several amaetur radio stations are there, as well as an amaetur TV station that relays NASA missions (cable channel 58).

It basically is a haven for screaming preachers and amateur operators.

It sounds like you're talking about 680's towers.

Thanks for the reply. After hanging around here, I start to notice things like towers, etc. I've spent so much of my life in the shadow of wizbee's tower, its broadcast seems to buzz non-stop in my brain.

After referring to a map I see that you are actually correct but both Fulton and DeKalb are literally each hundreds of feet away.
