Also, is Drew Carey still producing shows for ABC Family? They advertised that new shows ran earlier in the summer on Monday nights.

I think that Warner Brothers is flirting with the idea of putting the shows on American Shows with Drew Carey on DVD. They released an episode on a special DVD that came the first season of Night Court (I purchased my copy at Wal-Mart, and unsure if this bonus DVD was added for other retailers). The DVD also included an episode of Perfect Strangers on the DVD as well.

Whose Line hasn't been in production in America in a while since ABC canned it along with The Drew Carey Show. ABC tried to burn off episodes during the summer of last year (I think). Any "new episodes" for ABC Family are those that were burned off by ABC.
______________

Especially since Comedy Central is only running the last three seasons of the UK series over and over and over now. I'm not enamored of the US series, but I'd pay full retail for a complete set of the UK shows.

A little research I did not long ago indicates that even in the UK very little was even released on VHS.
______________

How many episodes are there in each season of the UK version? Is it 20-25 like in the US, or 10 or less per season like most UK shows?

In the UK, television doesn't operate the same way as in the US in terms of seasons. They do "series" which start at whatever point another show completes a series, then runs for however many weeks they are going to do.

According to epguides.com, the UK version of "Whose Line ...?" had the following series:

Series 1: 13 episodes (23 Sep-16 Dec 88)*
Series 2: 17 episodes (10 Nov 89-16 Mar 90)
Series 3: 17 episodes (18 Jan-10 May 91)
Series 4: 13 episodes (24 Jan-17 Apr 92)
Series 5: 9 episodes (5 Mar-30 Apr 93)
Series 6: 11 episodes (1 Jul-9 Sep 94)
Series 7: 12 episodes (28 Jul-13 Oct 95)
Series 8: 14 episodes (12 Jul-27 Sep, 6 & 13 Dec 96)
Series 9: 12 episodes (10 Jul-25 Sep 97)

* - Interestingly, the pilot was the last show shown in Series 1.
______________

>The "new shows" included bits that were parts of the original tapings but weren't used in the original shows on ABC. (The British show used to use such items in a compilation show on an annual basis)
