WHRB & WSKX Tweak Signals

L

Two FM stations operating on 95.3,WHRB COL Cambridge, MA TL Fiancial/Theater District of downtown Boston, and WSKX COL York, ME TL Mt. Agamenticus, ME
(a hill really) have applied to tweak their facilities. WHRB will go from a directional antenna to a non-directional antenna, and reduce its ERP a skosh, while WSKX will alter
its DA pattern to sread its full power over a larger area, while reducing its signal south an southwest. This seems a littlle odd because WWWA FM in Winslow, ME is boosting
its power at the same time. Actually, to paraphrase Randy Newman, WSKX has no reason to exist...it would be better if it went away. It's supposedly in the Portsmouth, NH/ Kittery, ME market and in the past failed to show up in the ratings the last time I looked (under different call letters). Is there a Harvardian somewhere with a few idle dollars to buy it and take it silent?

WHRB probably fails to show up in ratings. so this argumentis sketchy

what really needs to happen is everything on the Pru to cut their power to 10-25% of current levels. it is basically impossible to hear any statiion within a 2 mile radius on anything less than a highly-selective professional grade radio. so maybe theyre improving their fringe reception by 5% and totally obliterating the core

WHRB shows up, albeit barely..... 0.1 share with a 53K cume.

Is there a Portsmouth / Kittery "market"?

I haven't seen a rating posted for there in my lifetime.

Not that I'd go looking for it often. But still didn't think it existed since most southern NH radio/TV stations tend to say they are in the Boston market.

Either way, I'm willing to bet if there was a book WSKX would have a bigger rating.

Wait, they stopped simulcasting WXKS? But are still a CC Top 40? Why?

The market does exist, but must be embargoed, because no numbers currently show up:
