Look I get why people on this topic are upset about WHRB. It's a station that you've grown up listening to, It's a station you have all enjoyed, we were just saying ''IF'' the station were to be sold, It is very unlikely that Harvard would sell the station, but think about this I was a WFNX listener for many years and I didn't see the sale to Clear Channel coming. On the day Mindich made the announcement about selling WFNX, I was sad and shocked because I grow up listening to the station, but if i was on this forum in 2005 and someone told me that WFNX was going to sold, I would say the exact same thing, ''They'll never sell'', ''Sure we lost WFNX in Providence, but they'll make a comeback''. I couldn't see it happening back then,it would just sound ridiculous to me, but things happen in time.
We can't look into the future, but we can make predictions (Guesses), their not real, but who knows, it could happen, or maybe it will never happen, i'm just saying that I didn't see the sale of WFNX to Clear Channel coming.
Plus people on this topic had made very good points on why Clear Channel wouldn't buy the station, and i've got to tell you all after listening to iHeart radio on my iPad, it is a very bitter and terrible playlist...I swear I have listened to the same playlist of songs for two weeks, as if they were stunting. So yes, I do enjoy local radio stations more, over Clear Channel's take on local radio. I apologize if I have rattled anyone up on this topic, these are just guesses that I made.
