From what I recall boss, and it sounds from the timeline you describe regarding Freeze's "IOU" that I am a bit older than you (but not by that much :)), that playlist transition you allude to (and that I also remember fondly) came pretty quickly after their format change. I recall late '81 and early '82 bringing the New Wave movement to I-95, with bands such as the Human League, Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club, and Duran Duran being heavily featured.

I also have a question regarding your comment about Madonna's "Holiday". I was always under the impression that "Super Q" had been the one to break not only that song, but Madonna as an artist in general to the Miami market. I distinctly remember the weekly Super Q countdown list that you could pick up at your local Spec's having "Everybody" on it before any other station in town.
