WHUM

I'm still trying to figure out who sings that song that plays quite often on WHUM that sounds like something from the early 1960s that goes "Making love ... watching UFO's" in a very space-y (if not computerized) voice! I googled it to death and couldn't find anything!
Obviously not focus group tested!
;D

You type "mms://whum-live.dyndns.org:8000". DOT dyndns. Not hyphen.

No problem linking to it on my Intel Mac using Safari. Steam quality is pretty good.

I don't know if a station like this is still required to do BMI music reporting on a regular basis but I'll be there are a lot of "artists" that get 2 cent royalty checks based on WHUM airplay!

Oh my goodness, they just played Roy Orbison's "Mean Women Blues!"

Hello! I know this is an old post, but it seems to be the right place to post about this station. Love the broadcasts! Music is awesome. I used to be able to stream using the link above, but it doesn't work anymore. I posted a question on their Facebook page (don't use Facebook often), asking whether their stream was down. Got an answer back to "Check back January 1st." No other explanation given. They also deleted my post...never seen that happen before.

Does anyone have an idea why it will take until January 1st for their stream to work again?

Probably money troubles.

I'd guess they are changing servers or negotiating with a new company for streaming and they'll be back up in a few weeks. Streaming fees are only $500 a year for a noncommercial station. Maybe, you should try a phone call.

Was home in December. Glad to hear them still plugging along. Some good music choices, portions of the show were close to what I would program myself.
