Why are KVLL and KJCS (Nacogdoches) simulcasting?

I have noticed KVLL and KJCS simulcasting when I am driving home at night. KVLL was AC, and prior to that was Urban. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?
 
KJCS has an LMA for KVLL -- and is doing it in an attempt to debunk KYKS from the #1 spot in the ratings.

Which won't happen... by KJCS!
 
Another sad attempt by Bill Vance to unseat KYKS from the #1 position. It won't happen. KYKS is just a better station,,,better playlist,,better talent,,better signal,,better processing,,better resources,,and a PD (Danny Merrell) that spends the majority of his day,,EVERYDAY,,making that station sound great! I know I used to work for him. He taught me everything I know. It's hard to beat all that with two sub-standard signals. I have first hand experience with all three signals. There have been a couple of times in the past 10 years where KJCS had the opportunity to beat KYKS. The first time, Musicsweep was part of the morning show, and my wife and her best friend were on the air as well. They had a pretty tight crew, but that soon fell apart. The second time, I was the PD, and I hired some good people,,most were pretty green, but willing to do whatever it took to win. The common denominator in both instances was the owner, Bill Vance,,,for some reason he doesn't really want to succeed. When you speak to him,,he seems to know what he's talking about, but he's not willing to go the distance,,,to take the time it will require to win. He's been that way for all of the 18 years I've known him. Of course it will take alot more than time to win that battle. It's been an all out war between those stations since the 80's, when KYKS unseated KJCS, as the new #1 station in that market. I remember them fondly,,,the good ole days. Leland,,let me know what else happens...can't wait to hear the next chapter.
 
Two things worth noting...

#1 - KILT STEVE is right... Danny M. is a FABULOUS Programmer and KICKS 105 is an awesome station.

#2 - There are two sides to every story... some people are really good at pointing out the faults of others without mentioning their own problems...

We all can be embarassed or humiliated by things we have / have not done... Throwing stones doesn't change that.
 
Are you suggesting that I'm the one "throwing stones"?

If so,,I'm more than willing to "mention my own problems" or share my "embarassing or humiliating things". I've got lots of those. I don't claim to be perfect or without fault,,nor do I want to be!

There are tons of things I don't know. I don't know much about many other markets, except Houston, and Lufkin/Nacogdoches. I spent 15+ years working in Lufkin/Nacogdoches,,so when I speak about things that happened there, I speak from experience. No hypothesizing,,no guessing,,no assumptions! I know, what I know, because I experienced it. I could also line up dozens of former employees that could share their own stories. Some would curl your hair!

It is what it is.....prove me wrong and I'll shout it from the rooftops.
