Why are The Buzz and Q at Dragon*Con?

Are ratings so bad that both these stations have to show up at a scifi and fantasy convention downtown this weekend and pipe in their stations? The Buzz even has a booth in the exhibit hall. Oddly enough, it's only feet away from former 105.3 announcer George Lowe's table.

I don't understand the question. Why wouldn't stations be at the biggest event in the city this weekend. Tens of thousands of people (i.e. potential listeners) attend this event every year. I've never been to one (yet), but it was obviously a big enough draw that you went. What am I missing with you query? Not poking fun, but if it is such an embarrassing event for radio to show their face, why were you at Dragon Con?

These don't seem like the kind of people who would listen to either of those stations. Or radio. I should strike my "ratings are so bad" comment since I'd think the same way if 99X showed up.

Sure you're not.

I take back the ratings comment now, since it does make sense to show up at a big event. But I saw The Buzz booth and thought "Wow, something sure feels out of place."

I think that sentence probably answers your question. If it is a crowd of non listeners, go claim 'em!

I don't know what kinda music the Dragon Con crowd would be lumped in with, but if it ain't Alt. or Top 40 what would it be? I certainly don't think it would be rap or country!? I would like to go one year just for the people watchin'!!!

You still never answered the question, what were you doing at Dragon Con!? ;)

Well, I LIKE the theme of the event. Also, drinking afterwards.
