WHY BOTHER WTMR WHEN YOU HAVE TWO REALLY REBEL CULPRITS

Why would the FCC come down on poor religious WTMR for doing actually nothing, when you have militant WURD, who constantly upgrades power and elongates patterns a few times a month. If you look at the original WFLN/WDVT pattern and power and look how its been manipulated, original documents; three towers 1kw-D-Day, OTA at night, pattern due north, no side or back parameters. Did they receive FCC approval for this, using the Race card, or would it really matter. Then you have WNJC, who has been operating over 10 years illegally, with 1.5kw-Omni, from the one strobed tower, when they should be 5kw-D using the two tall and two short towers, putting a strict signal southeast, into their COL and surrounding areas, instead of trying to be a Philly station using illegal tactics. I love the USA so politically correct, even in the media.

WURD is running essentially the same pattern as when it was sold by WFLN, according to the former WFLN Chief Engineer. The only big difference is that they now have a very low power night authorization (about 40 watts), such as was granted to many daytimers back in the 80s and 90s. It doesn't even listenably cover most of Philadelphia.
 
WURD is running over 100w at night, the pattern is covering north, south, east and west. In the days of WFLN/WDVT, they were OTA at night, and their signal was nulled, particulary to the South during the day. When that Black, Baptist, Fire and Brimstone Bishop bought the station for a few bucks, he "HAD" the FCC grant him night hours at 40w, with two towers, the third one was knocked down, then the station went OMNI, when the other tower was knocked down. When Mega obtained it, they erected two new stand alone towers and the signal was better with 1kw-D and 40w-N same directional pattern as with WFLN/WDVT, all legal. Since the militants took it over from Mega, they extended the pattern to cover N/S/E/W 24/7, and upped the power at night. I just came from Moorestown, NJ and they were loud and clear at 9PM. Did you happen to see their ad in Jim Tayon's liberal paper..."WURD our station for our people" with the Red/Green/Black African flag in the background....Real cute.
 
For the ad in the paper, just pick up Jim Tayon's weekly city newspaper, its on the page next to the last. For the coverage area, I have the proof, I can email it to you, but you can just drive around day or night and check out the coverage. See how far you can pick them up, especially at night, its far from 40w. If there are any posters that live a good distance from their Xmtr on 63rd and Passyunk, I welcome their strength reports. I know there is a site that if you plug in your zip code the stations are listed according to signal strength. WURD shows up on most areas in a 50 mile radius.
 
Are these signal strenghts using actual field measurments or "estimates" like Radio-Locator, which are not always accurate?I checked their "readings" for my area and they don't jibe with what comes in well here and what doesn't. I wish it did. They say I get a listenable signal on Oldies 1470 from Allentown and I don't. They say I get a strong signal from WRTI and the signal here is spotty. There are more examples, but y'all get the idea.And I get you don't like WURD. I don't need to keep seeing posts about it on every radio message board in the area. You've made your point. Even if I agreed, there's nothing I can do about it. Write the FCC. They get paid to handle complaints. I don't.

How about a 'liberal' sampling of this 'liberal' paper?Wow...you seem to be really offended by the red, black and green in such a weird way. What is your ethnic backgound? Are you inclined to celebrate with a flag? Can you post you ethnicity so I can be markedly offended by people who share the same? This is America, WURD is in America, why have the African flag on the logo, it would be acceptable if the American flag was on the same logo, first. When you fly any ethnic flag in public, you have to fly the American flag first, but I guess the WURD militants really don't give a damn. I am half Jewish and half Italian, and I do not care for all the stereotype Italian crap on the airwaves. Mafia this, mob this and the Jewish peoples being in charge of everything and so liberal and cheap, plus the Sopranos, would any other ethnic origin stand for this, I don't think so. I guess you don't care, you probably laugh and enjoy the Sopranos even though they are mocking your heritage. If anything is done in anyway against any black, you better believe Jessie, Sharpton, Cody and the whole WURD staff would be up in arms. I am not whining, its just called being fair and square and not politically correct every stinking time.
 
Why do I keep seeing WURD is 40 watts? Aparently, they are licenced 105W DA-N, on a Canadian Clear, with two self supportes in the South Phila swampy marsh, with still intact radials, (as opposed to radicals), and that'll do the trick. Now if you feel you should not be compelled to sit through Cody Anderson's tasty embittered programming, now's the time to shout to the mountian tops for the FCC. Their licence expires in just about two months or so.

Oh My.1) Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason.2) The Sopranos is a fictional depiction of stereotypes. They are quite over the top. But I do chuckle because I recognize the idioms and the mannerisms in my own family. They don't kill people...but only if I could dispatch someone every so often, it would be nice.3) You haven't watched commercial television closely enough, because I see black stereotypes all the time-in the commercials. 4) Any IDIOT can fly a flag. Or a ribbon. Or any other symbol for that matter. I just note how long people desecrated Old Glory by letting those Chinese-made plastic ones tatter in the wind long after 9-11. Don't you think the plethora of Chinese made American flags, ripped on cars and in the gutter, diluted the meanfulness of the symbol? Not to mention W defacating on it daily. 5) How does flag-flying hierarchy apply to logos?

This is so untrue, the only Italians and Jews I see on TV are portrayed in some derogatory way. Heck, even the rappers are like gods. Do your homework. America is in love with African Americans in this time in history, especially their music which puts down the people that embrace it like you.Sam: how do I contact the FCC, but would they really do anything against this MINORITY station. Licene challange? It is a real up hill endeavor, but you can try and petition the FCC. However, it would probably take an extraordinary petitionary campaign, just to get some cognitive response from the FCC. In fact I believe the last revocation I can even recall in this area, was Carl Mcintire's 100.3/690 WHUR Media, back in the 70's. Although that type of rhetoric could be heard on the Mexican Border Blasters, it was considered intolerable domestically. Yet it was rather far from racially inflamatory, let alone unbecoming of a licencee.
 
The one-sided media? You really ARE one of those, aren't you? You know you really should stop blaming others for your own shortcomings. You'll live longer and be far less bitter about it.

WTF have I 'embraced' ? I merely requesting to explain yourself, because you come off like a knee-jerk racist nudge, with no real reason except that you feel life has treated you a little unfairly perhaps. Tough. Get over it already. Anyway, many people much younger than I have embraced rap music. That is there prerogative. I have no axe to grind with them. I try to listen to everything. I like older rap, like Public Enemy. I like the Wu Tang stuff. Am I 'blinged out'? No.Don't ever presume to know anyone.
