A canal side oil change for the Gremlin with an extra hand sounds like a plan!
You don't CHANGE the oil in a Gremlin, you just ADD it.

Does it make you feel old when someone like the original poster refers to the station as "92.7" and doesn't know the ancient lore relating to Ancient Modulation KAZG and its ancient equipment? So prosaic.
And it is KDOT to me.
Gotta' run... there is an early Black Friday sale at Goldwaters at Los Arcos Mall.
I don't believe there was a Goldwaters at Los Arcos, from what I remember. They had Sears and The Broadway. IIRC, Goldwaters was a standalone store in downtown Snobsdale.
I live only about a half-mile from there so Los Arcos was a more frequent shopping stop.
Auto Row is now Apartment/Condo Row, and all the strip clubs and pawn shops are morphing into coffee shops or Mary Jane shops. But through it all, KAZG (KPOK, KDOT, KXAM, KOPA, KSLX), is still serving the COL with Music Pow-Pow-Power. Same as it ever was.
Yes, the Nurse and I saw you many times at Los Arcos Dorados in South Scottsdale. My favorite Snottsdale pow-pow-power came from KOPA when it occupied space at the motel on the main drag. KSLX not so much.
My parents would take me there, too...my dad called the design "Frank Lloyd Wright meets Tarzan." 😛Memories of my folks taking me to breakfast at The Brown Derby at the Safari. If you timed it just right, you'd see the police beacon on-air light pop on through the window upstairs at KOPA-100.
...and just a half mile away was the KIVA Theater. Raincoats suggested. YIKES!My parents would take me there, too...my dad called the design "Frank Lloyd Wright meets Tarzan." 😛
