Why can't Austin or San antonio get This TV?

Why can't one of the city graded stations Austin/San antonio get This TV? Its only Spanish on the sub channels.

According to the network website, KCWX carries This TV.

(that is if you can pick them up)

Lots of changes appear to be coming for this station. According to wiki they're no longer run by Belo and have setup master control and offices in Austin. Does that mean they're going to change their focus to Austin?

I live in Florida, and I saw KCWX's signal via DX (E-skip) 10 days ago, a distance of about 1,090 miles. Of course, YMMV.... :)

Any idea where the master control is?

Wiki says, "Currently location of the station's studio and master control facilities is at 1402 West Avenue near downtown Austin, though management of the station is based in offices along the Mopac Expressway on Austin's north side."

1402 West Avenue? That's next door to Caswell House!

KCWX must be focused more in San antonio than Austin. I also have Direct TV local channels, Channel 54 is on the list, not KCWX...

I have a Directv HR20 which I believe was the last version to include an off-air tuner. The setup menu allows you to include a primary and secondary zipcode, so I get both the Austin and San Antonio stations off-air with my outdoor antennas... but only the Austin stations by satellite.

if they going to have the master control in austin and another building on mopac i thought they might be more focused on austin. to be compatable with san antonio and austin market's they might considered changing networks. why do they have a apllication's for 2 low power translators, one in san antonio and one in austin?.

Because people can't watch their over-the-air signal very easily! When it comes to the two low power translators, both should sit inside DT-5's signal contour. They just happen to have a signal that covers, or is supposed to be able to cover, a decent swath of both markets. Why not maximize your potential audience?
