Why can't they fix the automation at WUCS

I was listening to the Westwood one broadcast of the NCAA tournament and as usually the feed switches to ESPN radio right at halftime. This happens a lot during Yankee games as well. Do they ever have a human on the board at night? It's either a switch to ESPN radio or dead air a lot at night instead of the syndicated programming they are supposed to be airing.
