Why Defend Bluewater and Alexander Broadcasting?

Love the way they present themselves. Their presentation(s) continue to have an influence on me, when I'm checking them out. Personally I see them as radio professionals that know Jack about this business.

For those that continue to come on here and "Take Swipes" against these two professionals, you need to grow up and get a spine.

I don't have no issues with these people at all. I'm very impressed with the way they conduct themselves. I may not like every song and/or program they carry but to each his own, as they say.

There are some other radio people that continue to have an influence on me, as well.

These people would include My friend Mr. Rob Moore from Moody Radio South. He turned me on to Christian Radio, back in 1988, when WMBV hit the airwaves. I remember sitting in a parking lot of a local grocery store, when this station first signed on. I was surfing the dial for something to listen to, on a hot August day and discovered that WMBV was on for the first time. I told my mother that Brother Rob is now on the air. After I said that, we started to listen and found ourselves loving it.

WRNF 89.5 FM. I remember sitting my bedroom, one late November night in 2007 and you guessed it, I was surfing the dial for something to listen to and discovered that WRNF was on for the first time. Told my family and they were excited about this. Before they came on, I was Praying hard that my same friend would get the permit to build this new radio station. Glad that God worked it all out for him and WRNF.

Mr. Ronnie Bruce from WDJC out of Birmingham. I've been a big fan of his musical presentation, since I learned of it back in the late 90s. The way he conducts himself is awesome and wonderful indeed. Like the way he presents the songs and shares His love for God, on this radio station.

Finally, WVRV has had some influence over me too. When I'm able to listen to them, I find myself falling more in love with it. Like the way they present themselves too. Their entire broadcast is awesome indeed.

AFR did have an influence over me but due to various issues and concerns, I no longer keep up with them. Their presentation is now one of my least favorites on the radio.

And of course Jack FM WNPT from Tuscaloosa. Their presentation continues to amaze me. I like the way this station presents itself. Loved them during their Classic Country days and still love them now. Rock on Jack! Your radio station is awesome indeed. ;)

R.D.P,

Thanks for your kind words. As for the people who are "taking swings" at Bluewater and Alexander Broadcasting..... they have no credibility for the statements they make. Until they own and successfully operate radio stations better than these companies, they are simply nameless internet site posters pretending the know what they are talking about. When they live it, breath it, and are successful doing so... then they can "talk".... But until then, they are the joke. If it were as easy to run a successful radio cluster as it was to post items on this site, they would probably own and operate stations as well.

People will always talk... But until they walk the walk... it's just that... All talk.

On a second note.... thanks for supporting the stations.

You're welcomed!

Still like what I'm hearing!  Especially on WALX and WMRK.

P.S. Besides I've seen first hand what all was involved in running a small radio station.  It was no fun at all.  I did enjoy speaking on this broadcast though.  Despite the mess my friends had to endure from Tupelo and the NPR crowd, we did everything we could to keep little ol' WAQU in business.

One other thought I wanted to share,

My return to radio broadcasting will not be done for money purposes at all.  Money isn't my goal.  Radio broadcasting can be used to help change lives and lead people into a better way of living and thinking.  Hence the reason why I'm still work hard at establishing something like a WDJC and/or WVRV type of broadcast here.

When I had that gig, I didn't get paid for my services, nor did I even ask for money.  I enjoyed the job and love it very much.

I also know that to get a new radio and/or Internet station going, a lot of money, time, effort will have to be put into it.  I'm willing to go as far as I can, on this.  Since I'm a firm believer in Prayer, I know that if God wants this to happen, He'll ultimately see it through.  In His time and way.  I have no doubts about it.

If this radio station works out, I won't be in competition with anyone.  I'll be providing this community with a presentation that no one else is currently doing. (Contemporary Christian Music) Some may come on here and say that my town is too small for this format.  Better thank God for what you have and keep on writing, since you're so good at it.  Oh well, I'm willing to take that risk and see if it'll work out.  I'm pretty sure that if the other established players can find their niche here, I'm certain I can do it too.

If all I have is a low powered rebroadcast of WVRV from Montgomery, then I'll take that blessing and use it to help change lives and people's way of thinking.  Speaking of them, I'm now trying to see if they could help me get something going.  Hope they'll be able to assist me.

P.S. Even if this station never makes it to number 1, in the ratings, that won't bother me too much.  Just to see people's lives changed and impacted for Jesus Christ will be good enough for me.

The reason people come on this website and bash these station owners/managers is because of insecurity, plain and simple. It's easy to blame all of life's problems on the big, bad guy in charge when you don't bring anything to the table yourself (i.e., talent) or don't have anything to fall back on. If these haters really were that fearful for their jobs or hated the way things were run this much, why don't they try to get a job somewhere else? Think about it.

And before anybody thinks I'm taking the side of these owners in Dothan or whatever market you guys are constantly talking about, this applies to ANY job in ANY industry. What's that the Good Book says about trying to get the speck of dust out of your brother's eye before getting the plank out of your own eye?

You guys need to get a room.

Or a couple of lobotomies. What a joke! :D

I've never seen such brown-nosing, lapdog behavior over some stations (talking about them as if they were people) or broadcasters...wait a minute ricky. Check their IP addresses. Maybe they HAVE a room...lol
