Why Did the Cardinals Leave KMOX?

Until a couple of years ago, listeners in many states were able to hear the Cardinals brodcasts on KMOX via its 50,000 watts. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Mike Shannon, etc. came in loud & clear. Why did the Cards broadcasts leave that station? In doing so, they lost the ability for listeners in many states to hear their games.

Will all due respect, listeners in other states are generally not targeted by the advertisers that sponsor the Cardinal broadcasts. Also, in todays high tech world, Cardinal broadcasts are available to out of towners via internet, satellite, and digital cable subscriptions.
