WHY DO PEOPLE FIND BOB & THE SHOWGRAM SO FUNNY?

(No disrespect to Bob or Showgram Staff if they are reading this)

I have tried to figure this question out for several years now. Why do folks find Bob and The Showgram so funny? I must be missing something. The Showgram get's suspended at least once a year and still returns. Is this kind of the practice in radio? I know some of it is for ratings, and I know Bob brings in a lot of money for Clear Channel. What is so amusing?? ??? ???

Ever think, Stuart, that it is about the ratings and the money that Bob brings in? Who cares if it is funny or entertaining, as long as it makes money ... right?

it's just like the old joke punchline:
when two friend are being chased by a bear (ratings),
one realized that he doesn't have to outrun the bear (be funny),
he just has to outrun his friend (other stations).
profit!

thank you, Mr. Mike.
target audience? obviously, those folks who buy new cars
with NO Credit, ZERO credit, NOTHING down, blahblahblah.

bob and the showgram wouldn't make money if they didn't have listeners. the listeners wouldn't listen if they didn't think they were funny. so obviously, ALOT of people think they are funny; turkey.

years and years of ratings show that no matter how un-funny those in the radio industry think bob and the showgram are, the opinions that matter (THE LISTENER) say they are funny. so deal with it.

LCD is the Bob & Sheri I mean Bill & Sherri I mean Bob & The Showgram target market yall!

"Paint your Taint" is Exhibit #1 and also the picture spread for the closing arguments.

That's just the way it is in radio in the 90s....... ;)

It seems that Bob is everywhere these days...

In addition to his regular Showgram on G105, he also does "Bobby J's White Trash Country" Thursday nights (replayed on Saturday mornings) on 106.1 The Rooster. He's every bit as crazy on "White Trash Country" as he is on the Showgram :D

I think you'd have something here if you took the word "why" off the topic!!!! YES! Give the man a cigar. Not one of those exploding ones, either.
