Why do so many stations show the sequel BEFORE the original?

Something I've noticed for about a year now is that many stations, when having a mini-marathon, will show a sequel before showing the original. For example, showing Jaws 2 at 8 PM and Jaws at 10 PM.

Anybody know the reasoning behind this? Personally I'd rather start at the beginning and see how things develop rather than start at the back of the book and read forward.
