Why does anyone listen to Eagan & Braude?

Today has to be the most lame radio show I have heard in years. And lately, their show sounds like what you would hear if you were evesdropping on the conversation at the afternoon bridge game in Brookline. Who listens to this crap? Seriously.....

Back in my WMEX days, I had Jim on quite a bit, and he is a pretty nice guy. Surprisingly, they are far better on the air alone than thtey are together. Both are reasonably intelligent and deal with topics well when they are separated. Together they are a nightmare consisting of Jim making unfunny but sometimes snyde or cleaver remarks that she cackels at. I never counted but some hours she blows out that silly laugh more often than she speaks. I find it annoying.

Unfortunately, together they sound like a couple of teenagers who are trying to impress one another for some other purpose.

I've stumbled across NECN and Jim Braude a few times...stopping just long enough to see and hear for myself whether he really is the elite, haughty Liberal he's described as.

Yup.

An absolute boor...dreadfully aloof and devoid of any sort of charisma or appeal.

So, does he exhaust whatever supply of charisma or appeal he has on his radio show...which leaves him nothing in the evening?

To test that thesis, I quickly tuned to 96.9 and gave a one-minute listen.

In short, he is as devoid of charisma or appeal on radio as he is on TV.

I'm sure there is a choir he preaches to, and to that I simply say, 'Good for him.'

Jim Braude has more talent and charisma in his finger than Finneran has in his whole bald head.

I dunno I like Jim and Margery (as the show is actually called now, btw) when I was a cab driver sometimes I would get tired of listening to music and put them on. I always found them entertaining.

Hey! I just made up a good description for this. It's called damning with faint praise. I think I'll Trademark it!

It just hit me.... Braude is the male Clapprood.

I could see him smoking in the studio while discussing the need to raise cigarette taxes.

Why would anyone even mention Finnegan? On the same station, only that fingernails on the chalkboard, McPhee is worse.
