Why does Crapcast keep that rotton MC on their lineup...

Is it because Music Choice is owned by Crapcast or some big whig in the business...I heard the Dish with its Dish Music stations plus they have XM/Sirius and Direct has their own Music stations plus they use Sateliite radio and Verizon has MC and a few other music outlets to choose from....I think MC is the worst for any brand of music, so why does Crapcast force it on the subscriber...MC is a waste and so predictable....does DMX still exist, that was the other music system long ago when MC was the only music service available, and Sirius and XM were not launched yet, DMX had a very large selection and music library and channel selection...they even had a Surf Beach Rock channel.

Many cable systems have Music Choice - not only Verizon FIOS and "Crapcast," as you so affectionately mentioned, but Cablevision/Optimum does, as well.

But the other systems offer more options besides MC...Fios has another music system which has more to offer than MC. The satellite services have XM/Sirius plus their own in house music channels...Crapcast only has MC which is very bad....

FiOS has Urge Radio. They do offer additional channels not heard on MC (channels which aren't considered redundant) but the audio quality is dreadful. Encode a CD track at 96kbit MP3 and you have Urge on FiOS.

Music Choice in the lineup is pretty nice really, especially if you are having guests over for dinner or just for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, or other light fare and wine. I am quite certain that I am not alone in my thinking, as one who has visited others who have it and use it. This is not to say that Comcast is the greatest thing since raisin toast, but there are numerous music stations. You don't have to deal with some of the less desirable aspects of radio with Music Choice.

I will agree MC has no jocks or annoying liners...BUT, their selection is redundant...their oldies channel plays the same stuff over and over no "oh wow" cuts. They were better before their last change, when they had Arena Rock and Retro Alternative, they replaced them with Retro Rock and Classic Alternative which is not as deep. They also added more urban channels since the update. They should also break the oldies channel down to 60's, 50's and 40's channels instead of one oldies general channel....

Redundant they are, and agree with the "oh wow" cuts, but then, when you are just visiting for an hour or two max and have the jazz channel on it is manageable.

DirecTv does not have Sirius/XM anymore. They switch to Sonic last month. Music Choice sounds better to me than Sonic. Sirius sounds the best.

The only good thing I can say about MC is the sound quality and the fantastic stereo separation. You can notice it as soon as you listen especially with head phones, the stereo effect is really good, especially on the oldie channel. Its so in detail that their is a third channel on some cuts...so you may hear the vocals on the right channel the instruments in the left and the main vocal on both...and in some cases a fourth channel that you cannot hear but you remember it in the song...very interesting...but like I said MC is the best for stereo but the worst for programming...

I still like MusicChoice, no ads or stops in music, and the extra music info on the screen, but I haven't been listening enough to notice redundancies. If anything I get far more redundancies leaving something on a Pandora channel.

Fios Urge Radio has terrible audio quality. Also Comcast internet makes it possible to listen to MusicChoice online. With Fios internet, its not possible.

On the contrary; I've seen "GEICO" ads on-screen, but it is during music programming. Hey, you gotta pay the bills somehow...
