Why does GM continue to hurt MGK

With the acquirement of 97.5, you would think GM would put the Classic Rock format to death and grab that audiance for WMGK. They could run spots on 97.5 urging them to tune to 102.9. We all know they play MGK's music on MMR, so why are they still keeping 97.5 alive, to add more competition. It does not make any sense, they continue to hurt MGK, in one way or another. My predictions for 2007; 97.5 flips to Soft Adult AC, WOGL or Ben moves to Jazz, WYSP drops the talk and becomes All Alternative, not Active, full time.

Does GM have control over 97.5 yet? As far as I knew it was still in Nassau's hands, which is why the Hawk still lives.

I still don't see OGL going anywhere in the near future. My (hopeful) prediction is 97.5 going straight up Alternative to round out the Rock stranglehold for GM.

That and MAYBE 100.3 The Beat picking up Smooth Jazz. Maybe.

I hope you are correct, I would love to hear Alternative on 97.5, it could finally put YSP out of its misery. But will GM do it, right now they have MMR and chicken-rock MGK. BEN is not rock in no shape or form, although the rock haters may make you think so, BEN plays plenty of Rhythmic and Urban cuts. Maybe BEN will go Jazz, but I don't see WOGL being around much in 2007 in its current form. It's not advertiser friendly, even with the high ratings, so they say. I have WMID on now while typing, I am a hard core Rocker but this station just blows my mind.

I think it should be this way..........

93.3 Active Rock (no Classic Rock)
95.7 BEN-FM Variety (seems to be catching on...and really not that bad of a station now)
97.5 Keep the Hawk Classic Rock (up in the philly ratings and every moring there is always a person or two from Philly calling into the Free Beer -n- Hot Wings show (would hate to loose them, I do not think they are too much competition w/Preston -n- Steve))
102.9 Bring back Magic to compete w/the B and fill the Sunny void. Keep Debella here in the AM or move him to a slot on 97.5 (PM Drive??)

100.3................Any thing but the BEAT.....I would even take Classic Country over the Beat.....
