Why does Q102 hate dance music these days?

Once upon a time Q102 used to play a lot of dance music. But these days you're lucky to hear two dance songs back to back on their mix shows, never mind regular rotation. What the hell happened? I'd much rather the new Madonna track instead of the Eminem or Ashlee Simpson songs they're shoving down our throat. IMHO Philly badly needs some uplifting dance music on the commercail radio airwaves these days.

I agree. Philly needs a station that focuses on upbeat rhythmic music. It doesn't necessarily have to be DANCE music, but something along the lines of a Rhythmic AC. How about a dance-friendly top 40 station?

For real? A Dance station for the entire Philly market? :)
I think that right now only the very few who have HD Radio can enjoy Dance radio by tuning into the subchannel of Wired 96.5

Which bring us to another question:When?

I wouldn't be surprised if that happens. WIOQ sounded better as a Dance station back in the day.

I suppose it's possible that 96.5 is using the subchannel for real Rhythmic to see how well-received it is (I am not talking about reception--LOL). But how can they measure the audience? Does Beasley still have that Rhythmic station in Florida?
