KWSS-LP, KJZZ, and KOOL all have formats conducive to "bundling" different genres and types of music (in KJZZ's case, when it's news-related; in KOOL's case, if it ever charted Billboard Top 40), and the latter two sound better in 2013 than they have ever sounded. Considering the conventional wisdom that terrestrial AM/FM is losing their demos to iPod/Pandora/YouTube, why don't more stations program their content for a greater sense of continuity between media? It's like KWSS-LP, KJZZ and KOOL are the only stations in the town who program like they *want* more listeners. I often wonder how many people still associate KOOL with the icy, frost-covered call letters (how long ago was that?) and KJZZ with SNL skits. It just makes me wonder why **cough, cough** is so determined to program their content like it's a music station when news/talk doesn't have the same fluidity music does.
