Why I'm enjoying KLUV?

That station sounds so different. Either I'm old as dirt, or KLUV has improved their sound. They are playing alot of eighties music, and that's in my neck of the woods.

they got competition from KPMZ.......

KLUV has done a better job of mixing almost 4-5 decades of Top 40 hits together than most Oldies stations in other markets. A lot of oldies stations I've checked out online have almost abandoned playing any 60's hits and now are concentrating on 70's - early 80's music.

How are most of the older heritage oldies stations that are still getting high ratings are going to survive in a few years? Will they all be playing late 80's hits by 2015?

KLUV's formula is very simple (yet hard to execute).

1) Have fun
2) Play fun music
3) Get the listeners involved

A smile is very infectious and, when you hear a DJ's smile in his voice, you can't help but smile, too.

KLUV is a very 'feel good' station. That's why I listen.

I could not agree more. They have an awesome morning show. They had fun and laughed every single break. I was upset when I lost their signal south of Waco. Very good radio.
