Why I'm Excited Over This New LPFM Radio Station

That's coming to Selma Alabama.

It's for these reasons:

1. Our first and only all local Christian radio station.
2. Our first and only radio station to be owned by a slightly handicapped person.
3. Our first and only Christian radio station to begin life as something other than a translator. (Fixing to show my age here) (When WPCS came to Selma, they started off and remained a translator, till they left in 1987) (When Moody first came to Selma in 1992, they started off as a translator) (An upgrade for them happened in 2005) (When AFR first came, they started off as a satellator) (An upgrade happened for them in 2003) This new start up is fixing to break the start off as a translator/satellator curse.
4. Our first and only Christian radio station to feature locally produced and hosted programming
5. Our first and only Christian radio station to do more music with less talk
6. Our first and only LPFM radio station
7. Our first and only radio station to feature one person doing most of the duties involved with the activities of this facility
8. Our first and only Christian radio station to shy away from doing a satellite fed network on purpose
9. Our first and only Christian radio station to have its own local studio and phone number. AFR and Moody don't have those things here. All they have is a tower, transmitter and Satellite to broadcast from. Their facilities are big enough to have these items and everything needed to have a radio station in existence.
10. Our first and only Christian radio station to feature a wonderful mix of CCM currents, classics, local and independent singers
11. This new radio station will have a set up that resembles WALX, minus the commercials. A first for Christian radio here.

Man I'm fixing to make all kinds of history with this new radio station.

Hope God will allow me to make it to the sign on stage.

I'm so ready to get it on.

Now for those wondering about the tech side of things, that's still being worked on.

Will let you know more about that, when I'm able to share it with you.

Have a nice day. :)

P.S. To Mr. Paul and company, I'm opened to doing Elkdale's Sunday 8:30 A.M. Service.  If I can get enough support for the broadcast, then I'll add your Church service to my Sunday program schedule. And no, I won't charge you or the Church for the airtime. Will let the listeners and underwriters help pay for the airtime.  Already have plans of doing my home church service(s) on here.  And just like your church broadcast, I'll let the same people help pay for the airtime of these services too.

NOT SO FAST. I hear another group is filing for the LPFM in Selma. Your postings on this only tip off your competition. So how do you know you will be the only applicant?
