Why Is It That There Are No Christian Oldies Stations?

How did it compare with the listener's preferred sound and image? How did those compare against what was on The Mix, Windy, Kiss, The Light, WNUA, etc...?

You might think so in your mind's ear, but your actual ear would probably disagree with you...especially if you hit your presets and checked out what everyone else was playing. Yes, I'm sure there are exceptions, but....

Well, playing Christian Oldies would be playing to niche market. Now, if you want to compete with secular radio then that is a whole different ballgame. BTW, a lot of the Gold and oldies heard on other stations have been remastered anyway to fit todays standards.

Hang on bro, that opportunity just might come with Multicasting, CCM stations might offer a 2nd feed devoted to 70s/80s/early 90s CCM on a 2nd sub channel. It is quite a possibility.

There is internet radio -365 which has a few "Jesus Music" stations. I love to listen to them now and then.

But, of course, older audiences have never been quick to embrace new technologies.

I'd go younger on HD2 and look for a cheap AM for any other ideas.

I wouldn't rule it out with EMF, as I believe they once had a "classic CCM" Internet stream. I don't think it lasted as long as even World Wide Worship did (which wasn't very long). The only EMF affiliate that I am aware of having an IBOC license is WKVO in Lexington, Kentucky-which I'm sure pre-dates EMF's acquisition of WRVG-FM from Georgetown College.<P ID="signature">______________

That may have been me, because I say that a lot. :) It is very true. I still play this music on my show. The listeners ask where they can get these songs, and tell me that they really ministered to them. To those NEW CHRISTIANS these "old' songs are brand new. After all, the message in the music is quite timeless!
