why is it that ...

chicago rock radio, they are nearly always playing the same songs over & over & over ?
the LOOP, is just that = a loop of the same ol songs.
 
The system in use tests the most widely recognized songs. These are the ones which get played the most and sadly, burned out.

There are a number of classic rock stations which play only 300 - 400 songs. Unless it's a specialty program, what you hear is what you get.

Agreed. They need to spruce it up a bit with some new Rock song releases played along side the Classics.
 
yeah, i figured the "bean counters" were running the show.
but what they don't know, is that WE ARE GETTING TIRED of these songs. and either turning the volume down or off, or changing the station. years ago i got SO TIRED of the same songs (that are STILL being BEAT TO DEATH, that i switched to talk radio. i LOVE WLS.

to the PD's = play some of the other tracks on the albums !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my favorite station around here, that i could get (sw burbs) was(i have moved since) 103.9 Xrock out of indiana. those guys KNOW how to do it !!!
