Why is Journal OM job still open?

Greg was gone sometime in July. In 5 months they haven't found a suitable, qualified candidate. Is it the compensation is low? Are they too picky? Does Tom Land like living on airplanes? Are they waiting until 2006 to hire as a budget saver?

Logic would say that they should have someone in this job much more quickly.

What's the word on the street?
 
Interesting. Could it be tied to their purchase of the TV station? KGUN has openings for Marketing Director and News Director.
