OK. This makes sense. Their audience is too old. They are playing mostly 80's Country. I guess my next question is why change to Classic hits. Generally 70's and 80's pop hits. Won't they have the same problem plus competing with the other Classic hits stations? I know if I had a choice, I would rather have cash flow than ratings. If you walked in to a mom and pop business to sell them a radio ad, they would probably not ask for ratings or understand how to read them anyway. They would probably turn on a radio if they were interested in advertising and if they liked the station and the price was right, buy some ads. I don't have 2.5 million dollars to buy KABQ so I guess I will sit back and watch what happens.
