Why is my clock radio beeping?

This isn't a question that really fits on any of the boards.

I don't want to turn it off because then I can't listen to my music. I normally listen to Paul Harvey, but this clock radio stays on almost until I'm through washing dishes and fixing lunch, and it cuts itself off. At one time, I was afraid to turn it off because I might mess something up and, when Paul Harvey came on, it wouldn't come on and I'd forget to turn it on.

On the other hand, if I turn it on, I'll forget to turn it off.

But it's not supposed to beep! There's a separate setting for beeping.It doesn't drown out Paul Harvey or the music (usually) but it's just annoying.
