Why is Saga so sloppy???

Listening to "Into The 70s" on WODB for a couple of weeks, it has become apparent that Saga is content to run a sloppy operation with a "don't care" attitude. The bumpers they insert during the program continuously stomp the program material, be it the program liners or the song intro lyrics. What is their problem? It isn't rocket science to board op one of those programs. Why don't they care that they sound incredibly unprofessional in what is supposed to be a somewhat major market? If they would just follow the program log and observe the times, getting it right really isn't that hard. I have been the board op for Dick Bartley's show at several stations and I would have been out on my can if I ran it as sloppy as I have heard them doing it. They would be better off not inserting any local liners at all if they can't bother to get it right.

I agree with you. SEGA Communications doesn't have the "brains" to keep all of the stations staffed with good ideas & people. I used to listen to WSNY but quit after I realized they are just out to be number one BUT don't care about the listeners. They have all the contests where you can win big money or prizes. Yes, they get people to listen during the contest time but then they just switch back to their favorite station. WSNY has turned into a BORING, DULL station. I don't even think the DJ's are happy there! They barely let them talk anymore and then they have to say certain phrases like "Number 1 work day music station" and "refreshing music." I liked it when Sandy Bennett was there but what did they do... FIRE her. Does it make sense to FIRE your best DJ who brings in the highest ratings??? NO!

They can't even keep up with their web pages. WSNY still has a program director (who was fired) and a promotions director who quit several months ago still listed on their station information page. It is now the Dino & Shawn show so why is Stacy still listed on the Hollywood Hot Sheet? What it boils down to is that nobody cares about anything at the Franklin Communications Station! They need to hire someone that actually sees what is going on there and fix all the problems!

That dang SEGA Communications...I hate their video games too!

Ok Only The Best Music...we get it. You are either Sandy Bennett OR a scary stalker. Every post of yours mentions her..It's frightening. Get over it already. ???

Saga is one of the few "good" broadcasters left. They invest millions into promotional budgets unheard of by other companies. They are practical operators, they dont give up on markets, Saga is a well run, well breed company with an attitude of "radio is about passion and we have that passion, so lets do it!".

Sorry your company doesnt feel the same way.

NO, I am not Sandy Bennett or a stalker! I just know how Sunny 95 operates! Sandy was not the only good DJ they have FIRED. Steve Cherry, Mark Bingaman, need I say more. I will stand up for the people I believe in and that doesn't make me a stalker!

I heard Steve Cherry on the air once and he was taking a call. The caller asked them to play "Desperato" by The Eagles and he said sure but before that he let out what seemed like a twenty second long belch. It damaged my speakers a little from the bass. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I forgot to mention that he farted, and from the sound of the fart i think he pooped himself a little. So, i have no problem with nintendo letting him go.

Oh well, WSNY at least deserves a little credit for resisting a premature switch to all-Christmas -- thus far, anyway. Unlike 93.3, they have no desperation to make the switch to get some respectable ratings for awhile. Actually, ANY kind of change in music would probably earn 93.3 increased ratings. Come to think of it, that 2-month respite from their regular "format" is a darned nice annual Christmas gift from 93.3. I consider their regular format radio's version of waterboarding.
