Why is the MLB/Celebrity Softball Game tape delayed?

If ESPN can show Justin Bieber's so-so basketball skills live, why not have the Legends/Celebrity game live? You could obviously pick up clues during the broadcast that the game was played right after the MLB Futures game on Sunday. What's another hour of live remote time gonna hurt? They've taped the game for about a decade now, and it's losing it's luster...

Also, maybe the NBA Celebrity Game could have 50 point baskets and 10 point shooting circles next year, and The MLB Celebrity Game could borrow "Triple The Pig" from MTV...
 
ESPN figures it's better than putting a seven-second delay on the game - you just never know, with them celebrities and their potty mouths... :-X
 
I don't know. Poor Gayle Jansen from 10 withheld the score but did reveal the MVP (Gonzo!) in a report Sunday night.

There was a delay on the NBA Celebrity Game, but most of the "cough" drops aka "2 seconds of muting" came from the crowd...I would be like Bill O'Reilly back in the day..."WE'RE DOIN' IT LIVE!!!!!". Besides, it wasn't like Jordin Sparks was gonna drop an F-bomb anyway...

Because ESPN is showing MLB Sunday Night Baseball at the same time the celeb softball is being played.
