Why is TLC obcessed with "litte people"?

I was just curious. Why is TLC so obcessed with "little people?" They now have 3 shows all-about "little people".

Maybe you're just jealous. ;D

I saw one last night called "Pit Boss" where a little person does something with pit bulls, raises them or uses them for food or transportation or something. I stopped there for a minute because I thought it might be about racin' and there wasn't anything else on, and it was just him and his sister eating dinner and reminiscing. I don't know if it was TLC though, prolly not.

A lot of Cable Channels seem to hit on a "theme" that gets some ratings, then milks it to death..Like Discovery Channel did with Dinosaurs a few years ago..Another channel (Maybe Discovery too) did the same thing with Sharks..

Or the History Channel with Armageddon

Or the Travel Channel with food

Or Bravo with cop show reruns

Or A&E with neither

Or The Military Channel ( or something) with Nazis

Or MTV with no music

Or NBC with Shakespearean drama in late night.

Or Fox News without ethics (my opinion, sorry)

Good ones to which I'll add:

Or VH1/MTV with little hoochie hos

Or E! with the Kardashians

Or USA with Law and Order

Or HGTV with real estate

Or TV Land with Rosanne

Or MSNBC with Chris Matthews and life behind bars (coincidence?)

One question for MsMusicRadio though (at risk of derailing the thread): how is Fox News unethical? You may not agree with them - and that's perfectly fine, but at least hosts such as Hannity and Beck are honest & open about having a biased point of view. I'd argue that networks which feature biased reporting but pass themselves off as 'unbiased' are the unethical ones (e.g., CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN).
