Why Is WBPM Doesn't Carry Classic AT40?

I just found something on the other radio message board that there is link to carry the classic AT40 with Casey Kasem which is the 70's and 80's edition on many of the affiliates. Thanks to "jdmatthews" for the link.

There is only one station that carries classic AT40 is WVOS-FM in Liberty, NY, but why is WBPM didn't carry the classic "American Top 40" with Casey Kasem, but I don't see it happening. I love Casey Kasem, but I hope they will end up on "Classic Hits 92.9" in the future. There are two syndicated shows like "Live in Concert" and "Backtrax" with Kid Kelly and the only non-syndicated show is Randy Turner (or Randy Turnip's) "Music Blimp". That's it! Casey Kasem's classic AT40 ain't happening. One of the "Lite-FM" station that carries every Sunday morning is "American Top 10" (or AT10 for short) with Casey Kasem playing 10 current AC hits.

As for WBPM, not happening anytime soon. I love Casey Kasem a lot since I used to listen to AT40 as a kid, but I don't see it happening on WBPM in the future.

Wow disney better up the meds, you are babbling off worse than ever...can u get it thru your head that WBPM is not a top 40 and it ain't gonna be???

It amazes me that mr disney calls mr turner by a derogatory name; I did this and got thrown off the board...no wonder nobody posts on here any more......

It's because he doesn't know any better and you do! He has no clue that calling 'Turnip' is an insult.

Oh Yes Randy knows that its an insult, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it, and if you don't like WBPM, don't listen! No one is FORCING you to Listen.....

WBPM should give some thought to forcing people to listen!!

I like WBPM a lot on 92.9 better than it was on 94.3 which is called "Classic His 92.9" plays nothing but 60's, 70's and 80's rock & pop songs and zero Motown and R&B, it is a ton better than CBS-FM and "Jack". The one show that I like is Randy Turner's "Music Blimp" and it is still a great show to listen to playing nothing but New Wave music from the 80's through the 90's. It's on every Saturday night. I listened to the show and it is excellent. Randy did an excellent job hosting the show, but I can't wait to listen to. I don't want to get bash and all that stuff, but I'm clean, but as I said, it's a joke but it's an early April Fool's joke, Classic AT40 is not coming to WBPM, but it's only heard on WVOS-FM. I listened to the station a little bit and then I listened to country music, but it's very good.

We're all still trying to understand the meaning of this thread. They don't carry this unheard of program because they like local programming. What's wrong with local programming, Disney?
