[size=10pt][size=10pt]Most Oldies stations today are devoting their Oldies Music to the late 60s & 1970s.& some 80s..I don't understand why WGNY-AM is playing 50s and early 60s music;do they have an audience for it ?

I agree, its an old format. But there really isn't anything else to do with it.

Why? The station goes all the way down to 180 watts at sundown. During the winter that's what, 4:30?
I'm sure for a station that just went from 5K to 10K daytime you could probably bet successfully that they looked to get more than a tiny 180w at night to no avail. I just did a real quick scan and Quinnipiac College (WQUN) is also on 1220 not all that far away and also WFAS-AM is on a first adjacent on 1230 in Westchester. So I'm sure that has something to do with it.MusicRadioUSA said:Oh I didn't realite they are only 180 watts at night...perhaps they should apply to increase their night time power.
