Why is WWE not shown on KTXH?

Just wondering because My20 pre-empts "SmackDown" for movies, and that's not so fair. I've been a longtime wrestling fan, I've been watching "Raw" since God knows when and "SmackDown" was constantly Pre-empted, and i have found out the truth of WWE: It wants to focus much more "entertainment" than sports. Wrestling is definitely a sport. A sport that should make it on "SportsCenter". I'm Tired of the way how things run over at WWE. I hope CW would make good on this promise to run "SmackDown" Every Friday. Therefore, I'm watching TNA because it is a better organization than WWE.

??? Does KTXH-TV rerun "WWE Smackdown!" at a later time? It gets preempted here in Hartford/New Haven all the time. WCTX-TV (UPN...My in September) channel 59 of New Haven, CT will usually air WWE at 8 PM ET on Saturdays. The same goes for WWOR-TV (UPN...My in September) channel 9 of Secaucus, NJ/New York City. Reason? Yankees baseball.

WWE is a UPN network program. Since KTXH is a Fox owned soon to be "MyNetwork" O&O they not only have complete disloyalty to the current network to which they have a contract, but they have a complete disregard to their commitment, which runs through August. By preempting UPN programming and running their own movies they get to sell all the advertising time. This translates to somewhere between forty and fifty :30 second units in the same time period they may only get 10 to 15. UPN would get the rest by their network agreement. There will be countless lawsuits by the time the new CW and MyNetwork launches this fall between UPN and Fox over this issue. With KTXH, the real internal issue is, that despite the added commercial inventory, their sales staff is not selling it. There's no incentive for the reps and a serious lack of management experience and leadership over there.

The point is WWE's "Smackdown" will be folded into The CW Television Network along with UPN's "Veronica Mars", "Top Model", "Everybody Hates Chris", and "Girlfriends", along with The WB's "Smallville", "7th Heaven", "Gilmore Girls", and "Beauty & the Geek"; Meanwhile, MYTV's lineup will consist of mostly Daytime Soaps in Primetime, and I believe KHCW will treat WWE like any other CWTV show out there. Hopefully there won't be any pre-emptions whatsoever.

Once WWE switches to the CW in September I doubt you'll see any preemptions, but expect many preemptions before that happens at KTXH.
