Why John Russel Should Do Mornings on WYSP

Before anybody thinks I am being intentionally mean here, I want you all to know I'm very serious.

With Howard Stern leaving very soon WYSP is forced to develop a show that is just as crazy, yet completely different then Howard. So we are left with the possibilty of putting Kidd Chris in his place. Kidd is good, but not ready for prime time yet, and Couzin Ed should remain in afternoons. So who should go into mornings? My vote is current News Anchor John Russell. If you ever heard any of his newscasts you would see that his overly dramatic John Facendaesk style sounds so horrible by today's radio standards he would be funny as S--T! An example of a break-

Hi, I'm 94 WYSP's John Russell in the morning, broadcasting from the beautiful studios of Independence Mall in Philadelphia, PA. The winds are howling and the rock is growling from the station that rocks. (long music hook totally out of place) Let's go to Merril Reese with and Eagles Report...

Come on we have all heard a John Russell newscast that makes us go what the heck was that and how is it on in Philadelphia. My point is that its memorable and very different, may I even say funny! Then we could hear an original idea and not just Howard Stern watered down.

John Russel is better than Couzin Ed and Kidd Chris, he atleast is acting natural, and not doing bits and being thee "A" typical puppet for Infinity. Couzin ed's time in Philadelphia has run its course, he stays any longer he will be known as the B list of the John DeBella types.

Couzin Ed is a never was, great potential but never able to catch the charisma. Couzin Ed would do really well in Virginia, (where he is from) but in Philadelphia his time has past and he never did get it. Couzin Ed tried to hard to embrace Philly, he tries to be a loyal "Eagles" guy, but his heart is with the Washington Redskins, his childhood team. This is evident if you listen for it, He will NEVER talk truthfully about the Eagles or anything in Philadelphia.

Kidd Chris is Hoo Hoo in training, He will be kicked to thee curb like many before him. When WYSP (and not if) moves Kidd Chris to morning drive, watch those ratings fall fall fall....and the "#1 rock station" moniker.

Also if you notice YSP is slowly dropping the #1 Rock Station slogan from their on air chatter. Are they expecting something?

yeah either their ratings are heading toward the gutter or they are still thinking that Philly wants a hot-talker. Christ I hope it's not my 2nd observation. Infinity actually thought the Letterman show translated well to radio. IT"S A TV SHOW, that alone made it real boring to hear on radio. O&A were mundane. and DOn & Mike were.....uh....better off left in Virginia at WJFK.
