Why O.J. Simpson won't be watching 'People v O.J. Simpson'

One person surely won’t be watching the premiere of “People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” tonight on FX.

That person is O.J. Simpson.

A spokesperson for the Lovelock Correction Insitution, where Simpson is serving a sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, told TheWrap that the prison does have cable, but does not get FX.

That means the Juice will not be able to critique the accuracy of the performance of Cuba Gooding Jr., who will play the former NFL star during the so-called “trial of the century.” Simpson was found not guilty of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown-Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, but was later imprisoned on completely separate charges of stealing sports memorabilia he said was wrongly taken from him.

Wow. The prison doesn't carry FX? Isn't that cruel and unusual punishment? I'll have to make sure not to commit any crimes in Nevada! ;)

I watched portions of the FX OJ re-creation, and lost interest pretty quickly. Probably because the real drama is better than anyone could ever re-create. Perhaps CNN should do a "moment by moment", because they, and some of the other networks had the coverage that most remember.
