Why was Booker fired?

He had a morning show on a Philly CHR station last year and that was one of its highest rated morning shows. He got fired because Elvis Duran's show got syndicated to Q102. It would have been perfect for him to get back at Elvis Duran at his New York home by doing mornings on 92.3 Now. CBS should have kept Booker instead of firing him. They still need to pay his salary. And Booker is also getting paid by Clear Channel.

He got fired in Philly because A PD wasn't thrilled with his show. It wasn't the most female friendly CHR IMO
 
Booker had the #1 morning show in Philly, but Clear Channel thought it could cut costs by syndicating New York's #1 morning show in Philly. But why fire a former #1 morning show host of a CHR station?

Booker was never number one in philly check the ratings dont just believe a person with his ego.
 
I think the more relevant question is why was Booker hired?

Someone had to sign off on that salary, wouldn't that same person know what was going to happen ten weeks forward.
 
Can you honestly say that he was doing a good job as the afternoon drive host on K-Rock?

I heard a few of his interviews and they were really bad. Just boring and meaningless.

It wasn't #1 in Philly...he was #1 in some demos. Secondly, how do you figure it was a move to cut costs when they had to pay Booker for a full year AND pay for the Elvis Duran show? Believe it or not, some moves are made for a talent upgrade. This looks like one of those times. If CBS believed as you do that Booker was the better show, he'd be on NOW. Having heard a lot of both shows, I would have made the same move the Q people made.
