Why Was I Picking Up Phoenix Stations?

I know this is probably not the best place to post this, but since I post here regularly why not?

Anyhow, I was driving through El Centro/Calexico last Thursday night (around 1:30am) and I was picking up Phoenix FM stations loud and clear. Phoenix is FAR from El Centro. The next day they were gone. I remember picking up Power 98 & La Kalle 100.3. Radio Locator doesn't even list them for El Centro.
 
E-skip, Tropo. hard to tell. Post this down in the DX board on the site. Do a copy and paste. You will probably get a better response down there.
 
Wow Power 98 was actually audible somewhere? lol (Just kidding)
I wonder where their ratings would be if they never lost their full power 92.3 signal to News Talk.

I do get Power 98.3 much clearer than La Kalle 100.3, but I can get La Kalle better n Tucson. Hot 98.3 in Tucson blocks out Power 98.3's signal.
