Why WBLK sound like a Southern Urban Station?

I go to school in the Bufffalo area, and figure why WBLK sound like a radio station from the south with the music selection. i am not saying its a problem just wondering why?... and one more question do anyone thing Tom Joyner is a good fit for WBLK young urban format?

Listening to WBLK's stream recently, they sound like they have both the adults (in the morning and the daytime) and the youth (at night) wrapped up in Buffalo. If it works for them, why not? I think they sound good.

I lived in Toronto in the mid-to-late 90s, WBLK was always a breath of fresh air compared to the lame efforts at urban radio north of the border.

WBLK does better than most (white) people imagine. Top five Persons 25-54. Another reason Regent has the best Women combo in Buffalo with WJYE, WYRK and WBLK, not to mention that piece of dried dogturd, Jack.
